Documentation — common questions

Is Nox Core open source?

No, Nox Core is closed-source commercial software. The anti-fingerprinting logic and the local encryption implementation are proprietary.

Do I need coding skills to use it?

No. Creating and configuring profiles is entirely point-and-click. Coding only becomes relevant if you connect Nox Core to Puppeteer or Playwright for automation.

Which operating systems are supported?

Windows 10/11, macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon or Intel), and Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+ or equivalent) — see the Download page for each installer.

Where do I download the latest version?

From the Download page on this site. Nox Core is a native desktop app, not a browser extension, so there is a separate installer per operating system.

Is any of my profile data sent to Nox Core's servers?

No. Profiles, cookies, local storage, proxies and 2FA secrets are encrypted and stored only on your machine — see the Security section above for detail.

How do I get help if something here isn't clear?

Contact support directly from the Contact page. The team behind the product answers, not a generic helpdesk.
